About Me
Ciao! My heritage is diverse and somewhat unique. I often think of myself as a one-of-a-kind variety of human that can belong in several groups. I grew up in sunny California with Mexican, Peruvian, Spanish, and Chinese ancestry. Being a woman of color pursuing a career in STEM I often wondered if I could truly belong in this group. After completing my undergrad, I found that I have many similar traits with my fellow colleagues; a passion for the natural world, a willingness to grow and learn, a love for plant life, and a need to play a positive role in the environmental sustainability. I consider myself a scientist and I am working towards becoming an influential instructor. My ultimate goal is to bring as much love and harmony into this world as I can. More to come!
